The Georgian home would often have iron foot scrapers, lanterns, flame snuffer and later towards the Regency period a desirable feature would have been an iron balcony or window guard. The Victorian and Edwardians continued with the use of iron with hinges, handles, letter boxes, door knockers, railings and gates.
